The Bank of Indonesia (BI) recorded the third quarter of 2023 National Payment Balance (NPI) with a US$1.5 billion deficit, less than the deficit in the previous quarter when it was recorded at US$7.4 billion. This improvement was supported by the improvement of the current transaction balance and the capital transaction and financial deficit. With these achievements, the foreign exchange reserve was recorded at US$134.9 billion by the end of September.
