Nearing the end of Covid-19 loan restructuring in March 2024, the concern for higher ratio of non-Performing Banking Loans (NPOL) is increasing. Currently, the ratio of bank NPL is well maintained and as of October 2023, the bank gross NPL reached 2.42%, lower than in the same period last year of 2.72%. Meanwhile the net bank NPL as of October 2023 was recorded at 0.77%, lower than in the same period last year of 0.78%. The Indonesia Finance Authority has assured that the bank reserve is adequate to anticipate the increase in NPL.
