President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated his reasons in prioritizing infrastructure development during his 10 years tenure, including to increase accessibility and connectivity inter-regions which in turn created larger potential to attract investors during the events “Refleksi & Catatan 10 Tahun Pemerintahan Jokowi di Bidang Konstruski, Infrastruktur dan Investasi” in Bank Mega Tower, Jakarta (31^st July). Due to these efforts, Indonesia’s ranks in the 2024 World Competitiveness Ranking (WCR) increased from 34^th to 27^th.
