IMF Expects Another Cut in Global Economic Growth Projection
Monday, 13 June 2022

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expecting another correction in the projection of global economic growth in 2022 next month, an IMF spokesman said on Thursday (9/6/2022), following moves by the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to cut their own forecasts this week. That would mark the third cut by the IMF this year. In April, the IMF cut its forecast for global economic growth. The IMF expects to lower its outlook for global economic growth by almost a full percentage point to 3.6 percent in 2022 and 2023.
