The Fitch Ratings Agency is confident that Indonesia will achieve less than 3% of Gross Domestic Product fiscal deficit (GDP) in 2023. This estimation is supported by the decline of fiscal deficit this year at 4.3% of GDP or 4.6% less than in 2021. Furthermore, Fitch also stated that government debt will steadily decline in the next few years after reaching its peak this year at 42.4% of GDP.
