The Tax Directorate General of the Ministry of Finance decided to postpone the launch of the Core Tax System, an advanced tax system, to 1st of July 2024 as the coming year Indonesia will hold its presidential election. The new tax system has been mandated by the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 40 Year 2018 regarding the Tax Administration System Renewal.
