Bank Indonesia (BI) increased its key interest rate by 50 bps to 4.25%, the second increase this year after the increase of 25 bps in August. BI also ensured that an aggressive or hawkish policy will not be adopted as several central banks have done, as Indonesia’s inflation is relatively manageable.
