The government is confident that the Special Economic Zones (KEK) in Indonesia will be the largest global investment destination. The Secretary of Economic Coordination Ministry acting as the Board of National Special Economic Zones General Secretary Susiwijono Moegiarso stated that the operational 20 KEKs has contributed a cumulative total of Rp167.2 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2023 and created new job opportunity for 113,038 workers.
